The Queen’s Reading Room Festival returns to Hampton Court Palace Tickets on sale now

After the stellar success of last year’s event, The Queen’s Reading Room Festival returns for a second year running – and tickets are on sale now.

This year’s festival line-up is set to delight fans of Harry Potter and Netflix thriller adaptations, as Miriam Margolyes, Helena Bonham Carter and best-selling author Harlan Coben of ‘Fool Me Once’ and ‘The Stranger’ have already been confirmed as headliners when the festival returns to the stunning surrounds of Hampton Court Palace on June 8th.

The 2024 Queen’s Reading Room festival is a literary festival like no other; gathering authors, experts, actors and literature lovers for a day celebrating the written word.

This year’s programme will see Miriam take to the main stage in one of the Palace’s atmospheric Tudor courtyards to express her love and deep knowledge of Charles Dickens; and Helena Bonham Carter and friends will leave fans spellbound in an intimate performance of poetry to cure ‘any ailment’.

Harlan Coban and Mick Herron will lead their own exclusive session for thriller-fanatics, delving into their most secret and valuable tips for writing a story that will thrill, chill and fit the bill.

The cast of the award-winning musical, Operation Mincemeat, will also perform highlights from the West End show, before joining the creatives for a Q&A exploring the creation of the show and the writing process.

Visitors will be able to enjoy an array of street food, tread the floors where Shakespeare once performed with his King’s Men; wander the sumptuous gardens bursting with life in summer and enjoy shows from other headliners which include none other than Ian Rankin, Ann Cleeves, Lee Child, Elif Shafak, Kate Mosse and many, many others.

This is a literary festival not to be missed!
