Your support, whether through core funding or project funding, could change everything. We welcome donations from Trusts, Foundations, individuals and members of the general public.
Our current projects include:
  • Neuroscience research, helping to tell the story of why reading matters
  • Provision of free educational digital content and book recommendations, helping to encourage people to pick up a book
  • Events, including our literary festival, making literary events as fun, entertaining and unintimidating as possible, bringing people into a wider community of book lovers
  • Grassroots and outreach, delivering books into the hands of those who need them most

The Queen’s Reading Room is deeply honoured to be named as a recipient of a donation by the newly announced Julia Rausing Trust, launched in memory of the late philanthropist Julia Rausing.

Julia Rausing was one of Britain’s leading philanthropists, driving her philanthropy through The Julia and Hans Rausing Trust for ten years.

The Queen’s Reading Room wishes to express its heartfelt gratitude to Hans Rausing and to The Julia Rausing Trust for entrusting our charity with Julia’s legacy via this memorial donation.
